Affordable Inshore Fishing Trips in the Gulf Shores Area

We’re all trying to make our dollars stretch further, these days.  Everything seems to cost most, lately, including vacations.  But we still want to get the most out of our quality time with family and friends.  There’s no reason to deny yourself that charter fishing trip you’ve been dreaming of.  You can still afford to go charter fishing in Gulf Shores—especially if you make the smart choice of opting for inshore or nearshore fishing!  Fishing Made Ezy allows you to have the same great time and catch many of the same species of fish as if you’d gone offshore fishing, but spend less doing it.

What is Inshore Fishing?

To put it simply, with inshore fishing we stay closer to the shore or stick to the more sheltered local waters in the area.  Our boat will take you to fish the salt and estuarine waters around Gulf Shores.  There are a number of different spots we can go fishing on these inshore trips, including inlet, canal, and back bay locations.  Weather permitting, we can even go out on the Gulf of Mexico, but we’ll stay within three miles of shore.

Benefits of Inshore Fishing Charters:

Affordability

Inshore fishing is less expensive than offshore fishing.  You don’t need as big of a boat for this type of fishing trip, and we use less fuel.  It all adds up to savings for you and more money to play with for the rest of your vacation.

Less Travel Time

When you’re going several miles out into the Gulf, that takes time.  Let’s say you book a 4-hour charter.  That’s 4 hours total, including the time it takes to get to and from your fishing spot.  Wouldn’t you rather spend less of that time traveling and more with your hook in the water, catching fish and enjoying the view?

Calmer Waters

Because many of the fishing spots we visit on inshore fishing trips are in more sheltered waters, you can typically expect a calmer fishing experience with us, which is great for families with younger kids or anyone else who may be prone to motion sickness.

Interesting Scenery

The further from shore you go, the less there is to look at, besides the water.  If you’re interested in checking out some of the natural landscape and native wildlife, staying closer to shore gives you more opportunities to sightsee while you fish.

Excellent Fishing

You can catch some amazing fish, including many of the same attractive and tasty species you’d find further out—speckled trout, redfish, flounder, mangrove snapper, sheepshead, and more!

What is Nearshore Fishing?

Nearshore fishing is a good middle ground between inshore and offshore fishing.  If you want to go fishing further out on the Gulf of Mexico, we can do that!  For nearshore charters, our boat can take up to 4 anglers at a time (in addition to your captain).  We can go up to 9 miles from shore, depending on the weather.  If the water isn’t as calm during your booking, it may be less that that, but either way, you’ll be able to fish for things like snappers, triggerfish, and grouper.

It’s a thrilling fishing experience, nearshore fishing out on the Gulf, and you’ll spend less than you would for a deep sea charter.  We’ll take less time (and use less fuel) traveling to our destination, and you’ll be able to start fishing sooner.  Nearshore fishing charters are the sweet spot for many anglers, with plenty of amazing fish to catch and memories to be made—just at a significantly lower price.
